Ria Schoof, Art that makes you Happy”

Ria Schoof graduated from the famous “Gerrit Rietveld” academy in Amsterdam. She loves to travel and has been to many countries all over the world as China, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Brazil, and South Africa, Norway and Iceland and many others. These trips have influenced her work significantly.

Over the years she has expressed herself primarily in graphic arts, mainly drawings. Most of the subjects were figurative and sometimes exotic of nature. But now her work has become more subject and technical orientated over the years.

Ordered paintings are technically correct and done in her specific style, however free expression work is full of fantasies, very colorful and it shows her absolute joy in painting! She understands well how to organize a canvas, to arrange elements with extraordinary control over their placement; an artist who has a very masterful control over her works, creating a coherent and forceful expression on canvas.

Ria likes to paint walls, curtains, pillows and porcelains so she can give an interior a special touch showing the foot print of the artist in every respect, sculptures and special objects of arts may be used to support the finishing touch of the interior.
